Qualifications
This scholarship
is restricted to a graduating high school senior
in Western New York who plans to further his/her
education and has been accepted to an institution
of higher learning. Applicants must be individuals
who have a speech, language, and/or hearing impairment
and have benefited directly from speech and/or hearing
services.
Considerations
Applicants
who meet the qualifications listed above and who
exhibit one or more of Dena’s attributes will
be given high consideration. Applicants who show
determination, are spirited, adventurous, and/or
sociable, do not let obstacles stand in the way
of pursuing their dreams, and are involved in student
government or other student activities will be highly
considered.
Procedures
Applications
must be accompanied by 1-2 letters of reference
using the form
provided. Completed applications
must be postmarked by: March 30, 2007 .
Award
The amount
of the given award will be determined by mid August
and will depend on available funding. Awards are
made for one academic year only.
